The Peterborough area has the reputation of being a wealthy community. But, even if we don't see it downtown, there are families struggling to meet daily needs of food and shelter. The Peterborough area also has the reputation of being very generous to our neighbors. We have lots of agencies, churches and other organizations that care for the less fortunate.

One thing we may not be aware of is that families in need often must choose to cut out "extras" like music lessons. In response to this, the Peterborough Music Company is excited to announce the formation of a scholarship fund. Students of all ages are encouraged to apply to the fund for help with lessons, classes or workshops sponsored by our store.

Scholarships will be awarded by a committee on a range of criteria including family financial need, student interest, dedication, and potential as determined by an interview/audition.

We are asking community businesses to donate money to help start the scholarship fund. In return, your  company's logo, web information and ....... will be prominently displayed at our store and in newsletters (both printed and through e-media), and any promotions we do. Just a few dollars from a few companies will help get this initiative off the ground.

The first business to join our efforts is Gourmet Giving NH, a specialty coffee beverage company. For each $2.00 cup of black coffee, latte, cappuccino or hot chocolate sold from the Robotic Barista located at the PMC store, forty cents goes to the Scholarship Fund.
On behalf of the students who will benefit from your generosity, we say thank you so much for your support.
